You should now see a chat box on the top right of the site. It's pretty self explanitory but there are a few things you should note.
- Conversations are not private. Anyone logged into the site during or after you leave a message can read it. But only if they log in.
- A person may be listed as online for a while after they have left if they don't log out so you may send a message and they're not there.
- It's mostly for just saying hi or a few quick words. If you want to say something substantial, the discussion forums are probably a better place.
- Have fun with it! I'll clear out the messages periodically.

I updated the site last night (Oct 8) and it seems to have gone smoothly. If you run into any difficulties, let me know. There should not be any real change that you will see other than the powered_by logo. Let me know of any problems by using the contact page or posting in the forums.

I created a new gallery for photos of my grandparents. The gallery is shared so feel free to add any pics you like. I will create additional galleries as time permits. Enjoy!

My mom had an idea for writing and sharing our memories of Grandpa on the site. I thought there might be other writing that people would want to see so I expanded on that a little bit.
There is a new section on the menu called Family Papers. Within that section is a category called Dad where my mom's first article is. As you can see, they don't need to be long, but as little or as much as you wish to share. I can add other categories as needed. If you wish to write about the farm, wharf, family life now / then, etc. just let me know and I'll add the category. Instructions follow....

Games? What? Why not?! So I found some games I could put on here and now they're up! Whenever you have some leisure time, just come on over and give 'em a try.
You may need a plugin from Macromedia, but if that's the case you will see a message on your screen pointing you to it.
Oh, one more thing. I take no responsibility for the content of these games! Just kidding - most are family friendly.
